It's as if the developers forgot they were making a mobile game with how much they tried to cram into Sky Gamblers: Cold War. Playing through the campaign missions unlocks new aircrafts you can bring into the game's multiplayer suite, with modes ranging from free-for-all and team deathmatch to capture the flag, defend the base and a last man standing survival mode. Piloting can be quite complicated, using both tilt and a virtual joystick to pitch, yaw and adjust your aircraft's speed, along with gestures for more advanced manoeuvres and on-screen buttons for three weapon types and adjusting flight squad formations. > Download 'Pac-Man Dash' from the Google Play Store > Download 'Pac-Man Dash' from the App Store The stamina limits you to only 10 attempts, with one stamina point regenerated every 15 minutes.Įach run typically lasts less than a minute, so there is either a lot of waiting around until you can play again, or you'll end up spending more on stamina refills than on a classic Pac-Man arcade machine. Pac-Man Dash unfortunately also adheres strictly to the free-to-play formula which is seen most in the stamina system. However they also try to fly away, so you will often have to use a dash manoeuvre or jump to reach them. Ghosts make an interesting addition, since each one extends your run by a few seconds. While you run Pac-Man will collect power pellets - which are inexplicably called cookies in this game - along with eating any ghosts you come across. Surprisingly, it actually stands out among similar games, with level layouts offering multiple tiered paths that feel similar to the rolling hills from Sonic the Hedgehog's 16-bit days. Pac-Man Dash is Namco's attempt to secure a place for its hungry yellow mascot in the over-crowded infinite runner genre.

This week's games include an arcade legend, aircraft combat, monkeys popping balloons and speeding go-karts. Each week, Digital Spy rounds up the biggest mobile gaming releases with reviews and trailers.
